Flatrock News 864-297-5268 CE Cources Our clinical team attends various continuing education courses throughout the year. Staff Meetings: Flatrock Family Dentistry holds staff meetings throughout the year to discuss better ways of treating our patients. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected loss of Donna Cleveland. Donna has been a hygienist and friend of our practice for over 24 years and has touched so many people along the way. Her love for her patients is what kept her motivated all those years, and her clinical skill and caring personality made her a favorite of many loyal patients.
She had a skill for educating her patients and scared more than one person into becoming a committed flosser. I often teased her that if we would allow it she would hang a sign in her operatory that said, "Not flossing causes cancer." If we all floss a bit better I know that will make her smile down on us
Selfishly we will miss Donna but we know she is happy and in a better place, and we are grateful for the way she touched our lives.
We are excited to introduce some new technology to our office to help better serve our patients. In December we purchased a Diode laser, an E4D Design Center, laser scanner, and milling machine. The Diode Laser will help us easily and safely perform periodontal procedures and minor gum surgery while reducing bacteria from that area all at the same time. The E4D system allows us to fabricate crowns, onlays, and veneers right here in our office. We have been very impressed with the quality of these restorations! In many cases it will help us to avoid conventional impressions, the placement of a temporary, and a second office visit. The intraoral camera on the design center allows us to take digital scans to create a highly accurate 3D model. Then we can use the software to design your restoration to fit your unique smile. We will use the milling machine to create your restoration right in our office using the same material that is used in the dental lab. Your clinical team has had hands on training including a trip to the E4D University in Dallas, Texas. They became very knowledgeable in the primary features and functions of the E4D Design Center, milling machine, and the DentaLogic software that powers the system. We are excited to be using the most up to date technology available and have gotten wonderful feedback from our patients. |
