During the developmental stages of his permanent teeth this patient took antibiotics that caused internal staining. His teeth had also worn thin over the years. Veneers were used to correct the color and shape of his teeth.

If you are concerned with the color of your teeth bleaching is a safe, simple,

and noninvasive procedure. Bleaching is also used to lighten surrounding

teeth before restoring a tooth with a crown, veneer, or filling. We offer several

bleaching options, such as in-office and take-home.

Veneers are thin, custom-made pieces of porcelain that are usually bonded to a portion of the tooth. Crowns surround the entire tooth and can be made of porcelain, metal, or a combination of both.

Some of the most common reasons that a tooth would need a veneer or crown are if the tooth has a large filling that is failing, if there are multiple cracks, or if it has broken or as significant wear that exposes the softer dentin inside the tooth. In these cases there may not be enough healthy tooth structure left to support a filling long-term. However, they can be restored with a crown or veneer.

Crowns and veneers can also be a preventive dental treatment. By restoring a tooth before it hurts or breaks we are able to fix it with a minimum amount of treatment. Crowns and veneers can protect and cover worn areas and reinforce cracked teeth.
